Tao Te Ching
Also known as "The book of the way", this is an incredible ancient resource of wisdom and teachings from China on how to live in harmony with oneself, others and nature. Other spellings include: daodejing, Dao De Jing, Daode jing. The author's name Laozi means "the old master".
Over the next few months I will bring you the teachings of the Lao Tzu as I find them very similar to Ayurvedic and yogic philosophy. Please note there are many translations and I am using one I found on youtube.
ONE
"The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao. The name that can be named is not the eternal name. The unnamable is the eternally real. Naming is the origin of all particular things. Free from desire, you realize the mystery. Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations. Yet mystery and manifestations arise from the same source. This source is called darkness. Darkness within darkness. The gateway to all understanding."

May you recognize that true darkness is always the source of everything.
